    I was at the Stadium Wednesday night when Derek Jeter tied Lou Gehrig’s record for most hits as a Yankee. And I watched Friday night as the Captain became the Yankees’ all time hit leader. I never saw Gehrig play of course, although his story is well documented and his place in Yankee (and baseball)
